Gold is a color many try and few are able to successfully pull off. It is however, what I consider to be one of the best ways to add a little sass to a space. Or an outfit. 

Here are 5 tips for pulling it off:

1. Base the amount of metallics on how big of a statement you're looking to make.

2. Opt for brushed gold for a subtle, warmer look. 

3. Try switching out the basics with a gold version.

4. Enhance furniture detailing by outlining in the shiny hue. 

5. Keep a can of gold spray paint handy and find something in your home worth spraying.
